become a Foster parent
Our Association Zona Michi does not yet have a shelter. For this reason, we are always recruiting volunteers to support our work by fostering our rescued cats during their rehabilitation process. They need to be declared clinically healthy before they can join Zona Michi, where they can be adopted. Our help depends on temporary homes, only in this way can we support more rescues.
By involving the community in the same cause, we fulfill a very important social function with the existent animal overpopulation, which ultimately benefits our entire community.
What are the requirements to be a volunteer?
- Be 18+ years old.
- Have an additional space or room to accommodate the rescued cat.
- Spend enough time with the cat for socialization and games; reinforcing positive relationships is highly important.
- Available time to take the cat to veterinary appointments, as needed.
- Allow us to monitor the cat's progress through photos and / or videos.
Does volunteering create extra expenses for me?
No, it doesn’t add any expense to you. We will provide a cat package, this includes food, litter box and sand, and will cover all the medical bills until the cat is healthy. Our salary is paid with cat purrs, free coffee with us and the cats in our Café, and additionally we will thank you with a Volunteer Certificate from our Association Zona Michi:
